Sports
Enrollments listed are official ones as of September 30, 2009. That is
the State Board of Education's official enrollment day for every school
in Illinois. We use the school's K-8 figure and do not count the pre-K
numbers. For junior highs and middle schools we figure in their feeder
schools in order to obtain the K-8 total.
These enrollments are used to determine classes for each sport until November of the next year.

Waterloo and Triad came into Class L this year. That knocked two teams out of Class L down to
Class M. In turn, that knocked two M’s
down to Class S. Those things, coupled
with the changes in enrollments of some of the bubble schools caused a few
changes this year, as usual.

This year we lost Im. Luth. Murphysboro from Class S and gained All Saints, Damiansville, Carrier Mills, Cisne, St. Boniface, and Woodlawn. That’s a lot of changing for one class.
