NCOE does look pretty tough. Carrier Mills has a nice squad, too. Eli Scott is a tough, young center. The GEC is top heavy and light at the bottom. Gallatin County has a chance to win a few games. With a 6-6 center in Andrew Drone and Daine Hish being able to take a game over at any time (i.e. Kyle Oldham), they have a chance. They play a tough defense, as does NCOE.
How will Harrisburg match up with Gallatin Co. when they play in January? I think they will be entertaining games at GC and H-burg.

i went up to herrin to watch their matchup against harrisburg. Herrin looks very tough this year. Harrisburg barely had them. It was a 2 point game until herrin had to foul. Henshaw and Roper are harrisburg if they beat you its because of those 2 athletes. But watch out herrin is very tough. the can compete with any team in southern illinois.

Norris City and Gallatin County look to be the best teams in Class M in this area.
Norris City is huge....very talented.
As for Class S, Carrier Mills has dropped out M where they were knocked out last season a last second 3-pointer by Sesser in the state tourney.
Carrier Mills lost at Norris City by six last week in a game that featured intense defense throughout.
Write down this name: Eli Scott...he is a legit seventh grader who made quite a few varsity starts last year...He is 6-2 and not even a teenager yet and already college scouts know who this kid is.
Carrier Mills also has a very talented guard in Josh Bailey and power rebounder in Josh Brandon.....However, after those 3 players, there is little size and no depth on the bench as most of those kids are all sixth graders.
But they could make some real noise in Class S this year.
As for Class L...forget it....write down Harrisburg and take it to the bank.

Carrier Mills plays at Gallatin Co. Thursday night. Should be a good game. Eli Scott (6-2) going against Andrew Drone (6-6) will be a great match-up. Both have improved a lot since last year. Defense will be tight on both ends. It's been a while since this conference has had two dominate big men like these two.
