After a great turnout for the boys(33 IL. players) all-star game, the staff at Wabash Valley College has been requested by several to have a girls game.

Jr. High Coaches-please call Coach Zack Loll 618-593-3748 or Coach Mike Ray at 812-881-9624 with your player or players name(2 or 3 at the most), shirt size(game shirt to be given to each player when they arrive). Players need to bring game shoes and shorts. Shirt colors will be white, red or black.

From what I was told.... this was a joke. One team that was "randomly put together" was a traveling team with some of the top players on it and coached by the traveling team coach. They beat everyone by at least 50 points. I won't be sending any of my girls to this in the future.

There was no traveling team. The teams were put together by the areas they were from. The team that won had 3 girls from the Class L State Championship team, which included the Buss girls who scored 105 points in 3 games at State. That could be the reason they won every game. I hear she is averaging over 20 points a game at the high school varsity level this summer. Her brother coached the team because Vernon Higginson was out of town. I thought it was very well ran. There is no way to make sure the teams are even when you have not seen all the girls play. All they can go on is what the coaches say when they turn the names in.

I was just a fan but really felt bad for the other 3 coaches who had 9,10 or 11 players to play evenly.For non select team they sure ran a lot of sets. Oh well,someday when someone they know are down 75 with 38 seconds left and the other team still has starters in bombing 3's we'll see what they think about it then.lol
